FAQ

How do I schedule an appointment?
For the most accurate and appropriate medical assessment, you will have a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Piasecki.  At this time, you and Dr. Piasecki can discuss your expectations and he can identify exactly what can be done for you.  A medical assessment is always done prior to cosmetic surgery.
To schedule a consultation, call (253) 858-5040 or complete the Contact Us Form to the left and we'll call you.

What is involved in a consultation?
During the consultation, Dr. Piasecki will discuss your desired changes and expectations, review your medical history and current health, and determine whether the procedure(s) in question are right for you.  You will also meet with our patient care coordinator to discuss financial arrangements and all non-clinical aspects of your care (transportation, post-surgery care, etc).

If you decide to have a procedure done, you will be asked to make a second consultation appointment for a pre-op exam, photos, surgery scheduling and payment arrangements.

I do not live in the area.  Do I need to come to Gig Harbor for a consultation?
Dr. Piasecki prefers to see cosmetic patients prior to scheduling surgery, but it can be done over email and phone.  If you are out of the area, the first step is to complete an out of area patient form and fax it to 888-843-2412 or email. Depending on the procedure you are interested in, you may be able to have your initial consultation over the phone and email.

What are the components of the surgical fee?
The surgical fee is made up of the surgeon’s fee, the anesthesiologist’s fee (if needed) and a facility fee.

How is the cost determined?
Each patient has unique needs.  Factors that must be taken into consideration are medical history, type and combination of procedures desired, anesthesia preferences and facility options.  Many patients come in for an initial consultation and, as they discuss their goals, find that a different procedure would better meet their needs.  All of this needs to be factored into a cost estimate.  Because of the variations, we only quote costs after consultation with Dr. Piasecki.

Where will the procedure be performed?
Most procedures are performed at Harbor Plastic Surgery Center. Our outpatient operating room was designed specifically by Dr. Piasecki for the procedures he performs.  It is Medicare certified and AAAHC accredited, demonstrating our commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement. Dr. Piasecki is well trained in the latest nerve block techniques so that most procedures do not require general anesthesia.  This, he believes, is safer and will help you recover faster.  If your case requires general anesthesia, it will be performed at St. Anthony Hospital, adjacent to our facility.

Is financing available?
Harbor plastic surgery center does not provide payment plans for cosmetic surgery, however, we have contracts and relationships with companies that do.  Once you receive a quote for services, our patient care coordinator can help you apply for the financing that you need.  There is a link to the left to American HealthCare Lending.  You may apply online without any impact on your credit.
